Some examples of Lonnie’s work

Lonnie will unveil his original interpretation of the 2015 On Location:MEMPHIS International Film and Music Festival, scheduled for September 3-6. His work will be featured on this year’s festival merchandise.

Lonnie is a native Memphian, and his renderings have been featured across the United States, as well as in Mid-South locations including Memphis’ Hattiloo Theater,  the National Civil Rights Museum and the Stax Museum of American Soul Music. His abilities enabled him to win scholarships at Pratt Institute of NY and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, from which he completed his studies. In addition to his fine arts acumen, throughout his career Lonnie has held posts at Oglivy and Mather Advertising, Yoshida Interior Merchandise and the American Jazz Museum, both as a graphic designer and as an arts director.

Lonnie’s eye for color, composition and non-traditional pigments are expressed in the versatility of his subject matter ranging from strong figurative images to large non-narrative abstracts.

Lonnie has been commissioned for private and corporate acquisitions, including Donald J and Adele Hall (Hallmark Corp.), Jimmy and Meredith Creekmore (C-Spire Corp.) and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Los Angeles, to name a few.

Please join us in celebrating the arts in paint, in film and in music.
