As On Location: MEMPHIS prepares for its 13th annual international film and music fest April 19-22, 2012, it is launching its sponsorship drive, where both individuals and corporations are invited to become an important part of one of Memphis’ oldest and most ambitious film festivals showcasing films and music from Memphis and around the world.
This year, our sponsorship chair is someone new to the staff, Shauna Collins, who operates out of Nashville as a professional fundraiser. A graduate of Wallace State College, Ms. Collins has experience in marketing management, sponsorships, advertising and promotions, event planning and production, and project management. Amongst her successful projects are as director of sponsorships for the 17th annual Key West Songwriters Festival and for the Amelia Island Songwriters Festival. She created a national campaign, “Positively Pink,” along with Amy Grant, Kenny Loggins and Brooks & Dunn and many corporate sponsors, to raise awareness, education and funds for breast cancer research. She owned the AccessTalent Agency from 2000 – 2009, where she linked celebrities to corporate sponsorships, product endorsements and non-profits, planned and produced corporate events, provided media promotion, publicity and advertising and created, designed and sold promotional merchandise to benefit fundraising campaigns. As Head of Sponsorship and Events for Muzak Heart and Soul Foundation, she produced events for charity initiatives, raising more funds for the charity than in its previous ten-year history in total.
On Location: MEMPHIS appreciates Ms. Collins dedication to working for our festival and looks forward to its best festival ever, thanks to Ms. Collins’ considerable skills. If you would like to sponsor our festival in some way this year, please contact Ms. Collins. Her information can be found on our Support Page along with additional information for sponsorship opportunities.
