With the support of the First Tennessee Foundation and ArtsMemphis; Clayborn Reborn and On Location: MEMPHIS invite you to attend The 15 Film Series at Clayborn Temple. These 15 days of FREE block parties and screenings will showcase films that highlight Memphis’ history, the Arts and community space. Every Thursday night, starting June 15, 2017, there will be a community block party highlighting the theme of that nights screening and panel discussion. All screenings will take place at the historic Clayborn Temple
Clayborn Temple is one of the Nation’s most significant buildings and a landmark of the Civil Rights Movement. The Sanitation Workers’ Strike in 1968 served as the Church’s most famous and successful contribution to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights movement as a whole. After years of non-use, Clayborn Temple is being reborn into a place that honors its history, support the arts and encourage the revitalization of community space.
